AI Transformation

at Pearson as part of 'Technology Strategy & Architecture'. Inspire innovation. Empower learning.

Pearson, the world’s leading learning company, is hiring a Lead Specialist, Experience Designer for our Office of Chief Technology Officer (OCTO) to play a key role in TS&A; team at Pearson.

Why This Role Matters: Are you passionate about shaping the future of AI in enterprise environments? Do you thrive at the intersection of strategy, technology, and transformation? Join our Technology Strategy & Architecture team and be part of a mission-driven team that's building the foundation for responsible, scalable, and impactful AI across the organization.

This is more than a job - it's a chance to lead the AI movement, influence enterprise-wide decisions, and empower teams to unlock the full potential of artificial intelligence.

This key position will provide the US leadership needed to turn Pearson's AI architecture strategy into usable, trusted, and adoption-ready product experiences across Project Cookie, the Semantic Layer, and the Pearson AI Inventory. Project Cookie depends on a clear, intuitive front door for both citizen creators and experienced engineers, enabling users to move from idea to governed deployment without needing to understand the underlying complexity of repositories, manifests, security gates, identity, or infrastructure. The Semantic Layer requires equally thoughtful experience design so that Pearson's standards, patterns, and contextual knowledge can be surfaced, governed, maintained, and consumed by AI systems in ways that are understandable to product, engineering, security, and business stakeholders.

The Pearson AI Inventory also needs a compelling discovery and management experience that makes the AI estate visible, searchable, reusable, and actionable across the enterprise. This role is therefore critical to ensuring these strategic platforms are not only technically sound, but also human-centered, accessible, and practical for the people who must use, trust, and scale them. By combining user research, service design, journey mapping, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration, this role will help reduce adoption friction, improve governance through better user flows, and ensure Pearson's AI capabilities deliver measurable enterprise value.

As a key member at OCTO and Pearson, you will be expected to embody, and role model our leadership dimensions:
