About the Role

They're now looking for a talented Software Engineers to join their growing engineering team in Barcelona. This is an opportunity to work on genuinely cutting-edge AI technology, take ownership of complex technical challenges and contribute directly to the development of products already being used in real-world environments. For the right individual, there may also be opportunities for international relocation as the business continues to expand.

You'll play a key role in building, developing and scaling a high-performance AI platform, working across backend infrastructure, frontend applications and real-time intelligent systems. This isn't a position where you'll simply maintain existing software. You'll have the opportunity to shape technical decisions, solve challenging engineering problems and build products from the ground up.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop and deploy scalable, production-grade software solutions.
- Build and optimise backend services, APIs and modern frontend applications.
- Develop infrastructure supporting real-time AI applications and intelligent automation.
- Work with distributed systems,



asynchronous processing and complex orchestration workflows.
- Improve platform performance, reliability, scalability and system architecture.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to bring new capabilities to market.
- Take ownership of technical projects throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
- Help develop systems capable of supporting high volumes of real-time interactions.

Qualifications

- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

Required Skills

- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally within a fast-paced technology or product environment.
- Strong experience with Python, ideally FastAPI or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience working with PostgreSQL or comparable relational databases.
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript, or equivalent modern frontend technologies.
- Experience designing, developing and maintaining scalable distributed systems.
- Understanding of asynchronous processing, workload orchestration and production infrastructure.
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects from initial design through to deployment.




- Strong problem-solving skills and an interest in tackling technically challenging problems.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI agents or machine learning applications.
- Exposure to conversational AI, speech technologies or real-time AI systems.
- Previous experience working within a startup or high-growth technology company.
- Experience building applications operating at significant scale.
