Munich Re Madrid is responsible for Non-Life technical accounting and claims handling services for Iberia, Latin America, Caribbean and Italy. We are looking for a versátil and highly motivated Reinsurance Claims Accountant in this interesting, dynamic and international setting, contributing with expertise and engagement in the growing multicultural department.
Your job
- Process and record reinsurance claim transactions.
- Review, process, and execute claim payments.
- Review and validate claims-related accounting and payment information.
- Investigate and resolve claims-related accounting discrepancies.
- Collaborate with Claims colleagues and other key stakeholders.
- Maintain high data quality standards and perform claims quality checks.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing in accordance with internal controls and procedures.
- Manage a designated portfolio of clients.
- Contribute to challenging projects and global working groups, as required.
Your profile
- Degree in administration, finance, economics, or business sciences.
- Re/ Insurance claims knowledge is highly valued.
- At least three years of working experience, preferably in finance areas.
- Expertise in MS-Office, particularly Excel, and in SAP tools.
- Analytical skills and accuracy in dealing with figures.
- Self-confident approach combined with a high degree of dedication to working effectively and independently, willing to face new responsibilities.
- Strong communication skills, high degree of intercultural competence and team spirit.
- Good knowledge of Spanish and English (written and spoken). Italian and/or Portuguese is highly valued.
