A leading international company in the Energy sector with operations across multiple countries is seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to join its team in Madrid.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted tax advisor, supporting business decisions, corporate transactions, and strategic initiatives from a tax perspective.
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax obligations and oversee the accurate execution of tax filings and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate closely with Finance teams on tax provisioning, closing processes, and tax-related accounting matters.
- Provide guidance on direct and indirect tax issues arising from day-to-day business activities.
- Manage interactions with tax authorities, including audits, reviews, inspections, and administrative procedures.
- Coordinate the work of external advisors in different countries and monitor the quality and consistency of tax advice received.
- Support international tax projects and transfer pricing initiatives, ensuring alignment with local and integral requirements.
- Identify tax risks and opportunities,



proposing solutions that support business objectives while maintaining compliance.

Requirements:
- Degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- At least 4 years of experience in corporate taxation, gained in a multinational environment, professional services firm, or advisory practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of corporate income tax, VAT, tax compliance, and tax accounting.
- Experience working in international environments and coordinating with external stakeholders.
- Exposure to transfer pricing matters is desirable.
- Advanced level of English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems; SAP knowledge is considered an advantage.
