As a Senior SDET at Adaptive, you will shape the quality of our front-office trading platforms and open-source/proprietary products. You will work within a collaborative engineering culture to design and implement robust test strategies that scale with complex, low-latency systems. You drive quality through automation, exploring edge cases, and integrating tests into CI/CD to deliver reliable software. Proficient in Java with focus on automated testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis
Experience across unit to E2 E testing; exploratory testing for edge cases
BDT practices: story refinement, example mapping, acceptance criteria, 3 Amigos
Containerised test environments with Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test integration; monitoring and telemetry
Performance profiling and identifying bottlenecks; observable systems
Familiar with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure, Open Shift) and distributed pub/sub low-latency messaging
Knowledge of AI tooling in QA workflows; chaos testing for fault tolerance
