In this role you lead statistical programming activities within the CVRM Biometrics function at Astra Zeneca, ensuring high-quality, timely project deliverables. You act as a technical leader across cross-functional teams, guiding programmers and driving continuous improvement. You will shape programming standards, manage external partners, and influence project decisions in an international Ru0026amp; D hub in Barcelona. • Lead implementation of statistical programming aspects of protocols or development programs
• Ensure high-quality deliverables and accountability of partners/contractors
• Drive cross-functional process improvements and best practices
• Develop and implement standards to improve quality and efficiency
• Manage risk in complex or novel study contexts
• Provide programming expertise and mentorship to team members
• Contribute to recruiting and training within the function




• Identify opportunities to improve methodology and practical solutions for problems
• Manage external partners (e.g., CROs) and stakeholder communications
• Support capacity planning and regulatory knowledge to stay currentResponsabilidades
• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Life Science, or equivalent
• Excellent programming skills in SAS (or R) and SAS macros
• Thorough knowledge of the clinical development process
• Thorough knowledge of industry standards (CDISC) and ability to implement them
• Ability to apply programming expertise to problem solving and troubleshooting for teams
• Current knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements relevant for the role
• Ability to proactively manage concurrent activities within a project
• Proficient ability to influence relevant stakeholders on programming related items
• Ability to manage risk in complicated or novel situations
