Role overview

Sani/Ikos Group is seeking an eCommerce Specialist (Technical stream) to support the day-to-day operation of our Custom Booking Engine across Sani and Ikos. This hands-on role will help ensure our booking engine content, configuration and checkout experience remain accurate, reliable and commercially optimised at all times.

Working within the Commercial – eCommerce function, you will support the eCommerce Manager (Technical stream) in maintaining booking engine content, monitoring checkout performance, testing updates and integrations, and responding to operational requests from Revenue Management and Distribution. Your work will help safeguard the guest booking journey and enable the team to focus on roadmap delivery, integrations, A/B testing and AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

- Maintain and update Custom Booking Engine content, including room descriptions, photography references, rates, availability, inclusions, booking conditions and promotional set-ups.
- Support the activation, deactivation and configuration of promotional offers and rate plans in line with commercial calendars.
- Monitor checkout and payment performance, flagging failures, error rates and unusual patterns to the Manager.
- Coordinate operational follow-up on payment-related issues with Commercial Systems and payment service providers, as required.
- Run scheduled and ad hoc quality checks across the booking flow.
- Test payment, checkout and other system flows following configuration changes, releases or integrations.
- Log, track and escalate display errors, configuration gaps and broken paths in a clear and timely manner.
- Respond to operational requests from Revenue Management and Distribution regarding booking engine configuration, rate display and availability display.
- Produce regular operational reports on content accuracy, configuration status, checkout performance and issue resolution.
- Maintain accurate logs of updates, checks and actions taken to support reporting and continuity.

Required qualifications and experience





- Previous experience in eCommerce, digital operations, commercial systems, hotel distribution or a related technical support role.
- Strong understanding of booking engines, content management and online booking journeys.
- Experience working with rates, availability, promotions or transactional systems is highly desirable.
- Comfortable working with data, operational logs and reporting.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks and follow-up.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across commercial and technical teams.
