Your Mission

At INBRAIN, we're developing graphene-based neural technologies that have the potential to transform the treatment of neurological diseases. As we continue scaling our manufacturing capabilities, we're looking for an Equipment & Automation Engineer to help build, maintain, and optimize the production systems that enable our technology to reach patients.

In this role, you'll take ownership of production equipment throughout its entire lifecycle, from specification and installation to qualification, maintenance, optimization, and eventual retirement. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, operations, quality, and facilities, ensuring our manufacturing processes remain reliable, efficient, and compliant.

If you enjoy solving complex technical problems, improving equipment performance, and developing innovative automation solutions in a high-tech manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Bring Innovative Neurotechnology to Life

- Play a hands-on role in the fabrication and assembly of cutting-edge bioelectronic devices, helping transform novel concepts into products that have the potential to improve patients' lives.
- Work with advanced semiconductor and assembly technologies, including laser cutting systems, probe stations, tab bonders, and other specialized cleanroom equipment.
- Take ownership of key manufacturing activities, ensuring they are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards.
- Help keep cleanroom operations running smoothly by planning and coordinating daily activities within your area of responsibility.

Explore, Test, and Improve
- Perform electrochemical, functional, and reliability testing to understand device performance and support the development of next-generation technologies.
- Translate data into insights by identifying trends, investigating unexpected results, and contributing to practical solutions.
- Partner with colleagues across Engineering, Process Development, and Quality to troubleshoot challenges and continuously improve manufacturing processes.
- Ensure manufacturing and testing records are complete, accurate, and compliant with quality and regulatory requirements.

Help Build Operational Excellence
- Keep manufacturing equipment performing at its best through routine maintenance, calibration checks, cleaning, and readiness verification.
- Take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving day-to-day technical issues, helping minimize disruptions and maintain momentum.
- Support uninterrupted manufacturing operations by monitoring materials and coordinating the availability of critical components and consumables.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure manufacturing priorities are aligned and executed effectively.

Champion Quality and Continuous Improvement
- Work in accordance with GMP, GLP, cleanroom standards, and safety requirements,

helping maintain the highest levels of quality and compliance.
- Follow established procedures while actively seeking opportunities to make processes more efficient, reliable, and scalable.
- Contribute ideas, improvements, and best practices that enhance team performance and strengthen manufacturing operations.
- Continue growing your expertise through training, qualification activities, and close collaboration with experienced colleagues across the organization.

What You'll Bring

- Technical Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with production equipment in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments.
- Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability engineering.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
- Professional proficiency in English.

Nice to Have
- Experience in microfabrication, semiconductor processing, cleanroom manufacturing, or highly regulated industries.
- Experience designing custom tooling, fixtures, automation systems, or equipment modifications.
- Familiarity with qualification, validation, and change-control processes within regulated environments.
- Knowledge of ISO 13485 or other quality management systems.
