We are looking for an experienced Remote Sensing & Satellite Data Specialist to lead the integration of satellite imagery and spatial analytics into our AgriFinTech platform. In this role, you will analyze, process, and deploy satellite-based data models to evaluate crop health, monitor growth stages, and deliver predictive risk insights for agricultural underwriting and yield forecasting.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze satellite data (Sentinel, Landsat, MODIS, or commercial high-res constellations).
Extract and compute key vegetation indices (NDVI, EVI, NDWI, NDRE) and soil moisture metrics for agricultural monitoring.
Develop satellite-driven crop yield estimation, phenology tracking, and risk-scoring algorithms.
Process SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) and optical imagery for cloud-resilient crop observation.

Integrate satellite analytics APIs with backend services and decision-making dashboards.
Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to optimize models for scale and performance.
Requirements & Qualifications:
3+ years of experience working with remote sensing and geospatial data, specifically applied to agriculture or AgriTech.
Proficiency in Python and geospatial libraries (GDAL, Rasterio, Shapely, Geopandas, Xarray).
Hands-on experience with satellite analytics platforms and APIs (e.g., Google Earth Engine, Copernicus Open Access Hub, Sentinel Hub, or EOS Data Analytics).
Strong understanding of crop spectral signatures, phenology, yield modeling, and weather/climate data integration.
Experience handling raster datasets, SAR data, and vector GIS layers.
