Club Canary is a tour agency in Costa Adeje, Tenerife. We sell excursions, private boat trips, company outings and luxury experiences across the Canary Islands, from our office in Centro Comercial Plaza del Duque, three minutes from the beach.

We are looking for university students for an internship in tourism, client experience and sales. Four months minimum. If you can stay ten months or a full year, you are exactly who we want to talk to.

One honest note before you apply: this is probably not the right choice for a first internship abroad. We look for independent people. We train you well, but we cannot hold your hand all day. In return you get real freedom: to show what you can do, to work with our tools and inside our business, and to be creative with it.

WHAT THIS JOB ACTUALLY IS

Not a call centre, not a social media internship. Our guests contact us themselves through live chat, WhatsApp and email. No cold calling, no scripts. Your job is to help real people plan a real holiday, and to do it so well they remember us.

We do not just process bookings. We tell the story behind every excursion: the volcano, the whales, the island, why a place is worth a day of someone's holiday. Every booking comes with its own collectible card that we designed ourselves, and our guests actually collect them. Small magic, done with care. That is the standard you learn here.

WE USE AI, PEOPLE MAKE THE MAGIC

We build our own AI tools and use them every day. AI does the repetitive part: drafts, translations, checks, admin. You do the human part: judgment, taste, the conversation, the smile. You will learn how a small company runs a real business with AI in 2027, and you will learn the thing AI cannot do, which is the skill that still counts in ten years.

People with positive energy. Storytellers. People that get excited about a sunset boat trip and make the guest excited too. We work hard,



we laugh a lot, and we like coming to work. If you solve problems without being told twice and care about details, you will love it here.

We are direct. If feedback feels like an attack to you, this will be a long internship. We need people who try before they ask, who look for a solution before they report a problem, and who do not give up when something gets difficult. Our guests are on holiday and they need answers now.

We judge on results and attitude, not on the clock. Ten minutes late with great results and a smile, nobody cares. Late with an attitude, calling in sick when it rains, or treating an internship like school: please apply somewhere else. No hard feelings, it just will not work for either of us.

YOUR DAY TO DAY

- Advise international guests and book their excursions, boat trips and private experiences.
- Manage reservations in our booking systems and keep every detail right.
- Write emails and chat replies that sound human, not robotic.
- Organise special moments: proposals on yachts, surprise birthdays, group bookings.
- Keep good relationships with our local partners across the Canary islands.
- Work with our AI tools and help us make them better.
- Sell and upsell the right extras to the right guest, and earn tips and bonuses when you do it well.

WHY WE REWARD PEOPLE WHO STAY

It takes about two months before anyone is really up to speed with our systems, our sales approach and our service standard. So the longer you stay, the more you get out of it,



and the more we give back:

- 4 to 5 months: unpaid learning phase, same training, same activities.

- 14 months or more: 800€ per month.

Coming back counts. If your studies only allow a shorter internship now and you return for a second one later, we add the months together. Example: 7 months this year and 7 months next year means your second internship is paid at the 14 month rate, plus an extra amount to make up the difference for the first 7 months. Loyalty gets rewarded here.

Our one year interns get the most out of this and have by far the best chance of a job offer at the end. We almost never hire someone who did not intern with us first.

WHAT ELSE YOU GET

- Structured training with a video academy and internal exams.
- Free Club Canary activities as part of your training: boat trips, stargazing, island tours, water sports (worth roughly 325€ to 1,200€ depending on how long you stay).
- Team dinners, boat days and outings through the year.
- 35 hours a week over 5 days, 2 days off weekly, plus 2 extra holiday days per month.
- Erasmus+ and university grant support, all paperwork handled.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

- Enrolled university student with an official learning agreement.
- Legal right to intern in Spain (EU citizens or valid Spanish papers, we do not sponsor visas).
- On site in our Costa Adeje office, no remote work.
- Able to arrange your own accommodation (we help you look once you arrive). Tenerife is cheap for food and going out, rent in Costa Adeje is not, so plan for it.
- Languages: fluent English is expected, everything here runs in English. Spanish is not a must, but we use it every day with partners and locals, so some basics or a real interest in learning it is a plus. German, Dutch, French or Italian are a bonus
