Senior Manager, Decision Scientist role supporting Johnson & Johnson's Global Development R&D; organization. The position focuses on translating business needs into reusable analytical intelligence and decision frameworks for data products, partnering across teams to operationalize decision-support capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with Global Development leaders to clarify decision context, users, timing and desired outcomes
- Translate business questions into reusable intelligence requirements, metrics, decision rules and acceptance criteria
- Define descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytical capabilities for integration into data products
- Map decision processes, dependencies and trade-offs; create reusable frameworks for cross-study learning
- Partner with IT teams on production implementation, specifications,



quality standards and business rules

Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in data, technology, or life-sciences discipline
- 6+ years pharmaceutical or biotechnology R&D;, clinical development, analytics, or data products experience
- Ability to translate business questions into metrics and analytical requirements in regulated environments
- Knowledge of General Development processes and study planning and execution decisions
- Strong analytical reasoning to distinguish business logic from model development
- Working knowledge of AI/ML outputs and generative AI or agentic use cases
