AstraZeneca seeks a Senior Statistician in Barcelona to provide statistical expertise for clinical and preclinical programs, regulatory submissions, and methodological advances. The role involves study design, analysis, and interpretation to support evidence generation across the pharmaceutical portfolio, with three days per week on-site and fluency in English required.
Responsibilities
Provide statistical guidance for complex study designs and interpretation across clinical and preclinical programs
Develop statistical analysis plans and conduct modeling and simulation for design decisions
Mentor junior statisticians and support production of analyses, graphics, and study documentation
Contribute to regulatory submissions and respond to regulatory inquiries




Investigate and implement novel statistical methodologies to improve study design and processes
Requirements
MSc or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics with substantial statistical component, or equivalent
Proficient in SAS and R programming
Knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements in pharmaceuticals
Experience designing, analyzing, and reporting preclinical or clinical studies in multiple settings
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Expertise in statistical methods for study design, analysis, and interpretation
