Summary

The Operator II position assists the Chief Operator at the Carrizo water treatment plant, well fields, and treated water delivery system in delivering potable water from the Carrizo plant to its customers at the required rate based on customer demand. The Carrizo treated water delivery system must meet or exceed the Safe Drinking Water Act standards, as enforced by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).



The Operator II is expected to have a good working knowledge of groundwater treatment plants, their general maintenance and operational activities, well fields, and potable water transmission systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Performs all work in accordance with safety procedures and policies.
Ensures the security of GBRA/Alliance buildings, equipment, and grounds.
Under supervision of the chief operator, observes and makes changes to the plant process, operation, and equipment for proper function and performance; performs emergency maintenance when required.
Perform checks and daily inspection of wells, pump stations and wholesale delivery points.
Notifies the Chief Operator when problems and/or questions arise.
Assists with the maintenance and care of all materials, tools, equipment, and vehicles assigned to the plant.
Maintains the plant buildings, grounds, control room, lab, and restrooms on a daily basis.
