About the Job

Cambridge for General Training is seeking an experienced freelance trainer to deliver an executive-level professional development course titled Strategic Thinking for Executive Leadership in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver the Strategic Thinking for Executive Leadership course in line with the approved curriculum and learning objectives.
- Coordinate all course-related activities with Cambridge for Global Training.
- Receive and manage shipped training kit, documentation, or equipment.
- Prepare, customise, and update training materials, presentations, case studies, and practical exercises.
- Ensure high-quality course delivery in line with professional and executive training standards.
- Facilitate interactive discussions, practical case studies, simulations, and real-world applications.
- Maintain effective session flow, time management, and participant engagement throughout the programme.

Course Coverage Requirements The trainer must be able to confidently deliver all course units, including:

- Unit 1: Introduction to Strategic Thinking for Executive Leadership: Defining strategic thinking and its importance for executive leaders, different approaches to strategic thinking, the role of strategic thinking in organizational success, and case studies of strategic thinking in action.
- Unit 2: Environmental Analysis and Strategic Assessment: Analyzing the internal and external business environment, SWOT analysis, identifying key trends and drivers of change, assessing the competitor landscape and market dynamics, and a practical environmental scan exercise.
- Unit 3: Strategic Formulation and Alignment: Establishing vision, mission, and values, setting strategic objectives and goals,



aligning strategy with organizational culture, developing KPIs for strategic measurement, and case studies of effective strategic formulation.
- Unit 4: Decision-Making and Risk Management: The strategic decision-making process, assessing risk and uncertainty, scenario planning techniques, evaluating strategic options and trade-offs, and a strategic decision-making simulation.
- Unit 5: Fostering Innovation and Agility: Creating a culture of innovation and experimentation, building organizational agility, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing, implementing continuous improvement processes, and developing action plans for integrating strategic thinking.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in senior management, strategy, executive leadership, consulting, or corporate training.
- Proven experience delivering strategic thinking, strategic planning, leadership, or executive development programmes previously.
- Strong knowledge of strategic analysis frameworks, strategy formulation, scenario planning, decision-making under uncertainty, and organizational innovation and agility.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Experience delivering executive-level or corporate training programmes to C-suite executives, senior leaders, directors, managers, and business owners.

Preferred Profile

- Background in Business Administration, Strategy, Management, Economics, Finance, or Commerce.
- Practical experience leading strategic planning, setting organizational direction, or advising executive teams on complex business challenges.
- Availability to be physically present in Madrid during the course dates (26 – 30 Oct 2026).
