? What Are We Looking For?

We are looking for a Senior Java Developer with strong software engineering expertise and a DevOps mindset to build, own, and run efficient, scalable, and reliable software solutions. The ideal candidate enjoys creating robust APIs, distributed systems, and best-practice frameworks that enable engineering teams to deliver high-quality applications in the financial services sector.

? Location: 100% Remote for candidates based in Spain.

? Language: English is a must. Spanish desirable.

? On-call support: Paid 24/7 on-call rotation. One week on-call every 5-6 weeks with compensation for on-call hours.

? Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable software solutions using Java and modern development practices.
- Own the full lifecycle of your applications—“build it, you own it, you run it”—ensuring stable and smooth maintenance.
- Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications across distributed systems.
- Participate in complete Software Development Life Cycle activities, including design, testing, peer review, and production support.
- Design and implement event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and distributed system patterns (SOA, MSA).




- Collaborate with Product Management to achieve goals and vision; innovate within your team and technical domain.
- Participate in automated testing across multiple types: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Load Testing.

✅ Your Profile

- Strong Java programming skills with deep knowledge of building production-grade APIs and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of all stages in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Deep understanding of design patterns and principles (e.g., SOLID principles, microservices patterns).
- Proven experience with distributed architectures (SOA, MSA) and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and API design best practices.
- Experience with build tools like Gradle or Maven and Enterprise Jenkins for CI/CD.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in an Agile environment (Scrum, SAFe).
- Comfortable in a fast-moving program and contributing from day one.
- Strong grasp of the DevOps model and “build it, own it, run it” mentality.

- Java: Core Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework
- Architecture: SOA, Microservices Architecture (MSA), Event-Driven Architectures, REST APIs
- DevOps & CI/CD: Enterprise Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, GitHub, Infrastructure as Code
- Testing: Unit Testing, API Testing, Acceptance Testing, Load Testing (JMeter, similar tools)
- Cloud:



AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, EC2) – desired skill
- Containerization: Docker (nice to have)
- Practices: Automated Testing, Observability, Secure-by-Default Delivery, SDLC Best Practices
- Additional: TDD/BDD, Serverless Technologies, AWS Certification (nice to have)

Business Hours. No intensive working days on Friday or during summer.
