Our client, an international company, is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the operations of his warehouse in Barcelona area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and coordinating warehouse operations, metal processing, machining activities, inventory management, workforce organization, and shipments, with a strong focus on productivity, operational efficiency, quality, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operations Management and Planning: Plan, organize, and supervise daily and weekly warehouse activities, including work orders, metal processing and machining operations, and shipments, ensuring that delivery deadlines are met.
- Machine Productivity: Optimize the utilization of band saws and machining equipment by monitoring production, setup, and downtime to improve efficiency and maximize available capacity.
- Team Management: Organize shifts, assign tasks, monitor individual and team performance, ensure compliance with internal procedures, and promote employee training and cross-functional skills.
- Inventory Management: Control incoming and outgoing materials, ensure the accuracy of physical inventory and ERP records, organize regular stock counts, and maintain proper material identification, storage, and traceability.
- Quality and Shipments: Ensure accurate order preparation by verifying metal grades, dimensions, quantities, and heat numbers, maintaining high quality standards and ensuring on-time deliveries.
- Maintenance and Safety: Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, and maintain a safe, clean, and well-organized warehouse.
- Cost Control and Continuous Improvement: Monitor operational costs, reduce unproductive time, material waste, and unnecessary consumption, and implement process improvements.




- KPI Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators related to machine utilization, workforce productivity, on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, quality, operational errors, and costs. Prepare regular performance reports for management.

Candidate Requirements:

- University degree required, preferably in Engineering, Logistics, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum B2 level of English required, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English in a professional environment.
- At least 3 years of experience in warehouse management, industrial operations, production, or metal processing.
- Experience in the metal industry, metal distribution, metal processing, or similar industrial sectors will be highly valued.
- Good knowledge of inventory management, production planning, and logistics operations.
- Experience in team supervision, shift planning, and employee performance management.
- Good command of ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of key performance indicators (KPIs), productivity improvement, operational efficiency, and cost control.
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and industrial safety practices.
- Strong leadership, planning, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proactive, disciplined, analytical, results-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Good command of Spanish. Knowledge of Catalan will be considered an advantage.

Main Objective of the Position:

To ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality warehouse operations by optimizing machine utilization and workforce productivity, meeting delivery deadlines, and keeping operational costs under control.

The successful candidate will report directly to company management and will be accountable for the overall operational performance of the warehouse.
