We are looking to incorporate an AUXILIARIES AND ENERGY STORAGE SYSTEMS ENGINEER into our center of excellence for railway projects in Zaragoza.

The selected candidate will join the TRAIN SYSTEM department, working on high-tech national and international projects for leading rolling stock manufacturers.

Functions:

- Define requirements, manage interfaces, and design vehicle-level concepts, architectures, and earthing schemes for electrical auxiliary systems (converters, battery chargers, etc.), energy storage systems (batteries), and associated high- to low-voltage components.
- Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers to develop precise component specifications and custom solutions. Define Technical Purchase Specifications, prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), manage requirements using DOORS, prepare clause-by-clause evaluations, and verify schematic diagrams.




- System Definition: Create system and functional specifications, perform load management AC/DC calculations, track energy consumption, detect harmonics, manage on-board energy storage and MV/LV power supplies, and conduct detailed performance simulations.
- System Integration: Coordinate with other engineering departments (software, schematics, and mechanical teams) to integrate electrical subsystems into the vehicle.
- Testing & Technical Analysis: Participate in design reviews, technical analyses, prototyping, and on-site testing to ensure functional consistency and compatibility across systems. Define and support test specification creation.
