Senior Software Engineer, React NativeAbout TuyoAt Tuyo, we are building the future of money. You can think of Tuyo as a bank account inside your phone, but without a bank in the middle. Users stay in control of their money. We are building the most user-friendly and principled way to do money, without intermediaries.Today, we are a small and highly technical team serving thousands of customers across 130+ countries. We are venture-backed and recently raised our seed round from an incredible group of investors and have years of runway. Our founders Jorge Izquierdo (previously cofounded Aragon) and Alejandro Perezpayá (previously executive at Allfunds) have decades of experience building incredible products and leading high-performance teams.About the roleWe’re at an exciting stage: small team, big ambition, real momentum, and the resources to move fast. You won’t sit in a corner polishing tickets someone else wrote for you. You’ll be close to the product, close to the founders, and close to the decisions that shape what we build. We’re looking for someone deeply comfortable with JavaScript and React Native who can own meaningful parts of the mobile product, make smart technical decisions, and move quickly without lowering the bar. Someone who enjoys the messiness of early-stage building, knows when to ship, knows when to slow down, and takes pride in building things that feel great to use. This is not a corporate engineering role. We’re a young, tight-knit team that moves fast, works hard, and cares a lot about the product we’re putting into the world. If you want ownership, speed, and the chance to help define the engineering culture from the beginning,

we’d love to meet you.We are incredibly excited about how AI is re-shaping the way software engineering works. We have a large budget for individual use of AI and spend a lot of time thinking and implementing AI to allow us to deliver more value to our customers while staying a relatively small team. What you’ll doBuild the productOwn major parts of our mobile app built with React NativeWrite clean, reliable JavaScript/TypeScript that can scale as the product and team growWork closely with product, design, and the founders to turn ideas into polished user experiencesMove quickly from concept to implementation, without waiting for perfect specsBuild features end-to-end, from UI to state management, API integration, testing, and releaseDebug tricky issues across iOS, Android, and backend integrationsCare about the details: performance, animations, responsiveness, edge cases, and the small moments that make a product feel high qualityHelp shape engineeringMake thoughtful architecture decisions while keeping the codebase simple and practicalSet a high bar for code quality, product thinking, and ownershipImprove our development processes as we grow, without adding unnecessary bureaucracyHelp choose tools, patterns, and practices that make the team fasterMentor future engineers as the team expandsBring clarity when things are ambiguous,

and momentum when things are stuckWhat we’re looking forStrong experience building production apps with React NativeDeep proficiency in JavaScript / TypeScriptA product-minded engineer who cares about what users actually experience, not just whether the code worksSomeone senior enough to own large pieces of work independently, but humble enough to jump into whatever needs doingStrong debugging skills and the ability to reason through complex product and technical problemsComfortable working in a fast-moving startup where priorities can change and not everything is perfectly definedGood taste in UI, UX, and mobile product qualityClear communication and a bias toward actionExcitement about working closely with a small, ambitious team in personNice to haveExperience building consumer mobile productsExperience with Expo, native modules, app store releases, or mobile CI/CDExperience with backend development, APIs, or full-stack product workExperience in an early-stage startupPrevious experience helping define engineering culture, hiring, or technical standardsLocationThis role is based in either our Madrid or Miami office. We believe this stage of company-building works best when people are together, so we’re looking for someone who can spend meaningful time in one of our offices. Why join nowYou’ll be joining early, with the chance to shape the product, the codebase, and the engineering culture before things are set in stone. We have the backing and momentum to build seriously, but we’re still small enough that every person has real impact. If you want to help build something ambitious from the beginning, we’d love to meet you.#J-18808-Ljbffr
