- Bioprocesses and Applied Microbiology.



Bacterial Cellulose (BC) Synthesis: Cultivation and fermentation of producer strains, optimisation of culture media and purification/washing processes for cellulose hydrogel.
- Probiotic Systems: Handling and maintenance of probiotic bacteria (e.g. Lactobacillus, Bifidobacterium), cell immobilisation or incorporation into a functional probiotic matrix.
- Culture and Biosafety: Working in a laminar flow cabinet, sterilisation, maintenance of strain collections and microbiological control.
