MARBELLA ACCOUNTING

Marbella

We are looking for a Junior Legal & Family Office Associate to join a sophisticated international Single Family Office and investment platform.

This is a broad, hands-on role for a junior lawyer or legal professional who wants exposure beyond a traditional law firm environment. The successful candidate will work across corporate and transactional matters, compliance, governance and the day-to-day legal and administrative requirements of an international family office.

The position will work closely with senior members of the team and external legal, tax, accounting and other professional advisers across multiple jurisdictions.

The role is particularly suited to someone who is highly organized, commercially minded and comfortable moving between legal work, compliance and practical execution.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate & Transactional Support

- Support the legal team on acquisitions, disposals, investments, financings and other corporate transactions.
- Assist with the review and preparation of NDAs, engagement letters, corporate approvals, powers of attorney, resolutions and other transaction documents.
- Coordinate signatures, closings, document execution and completion processes.
- Maintain transaction files, closing sets and corporate records.
- Assist with legal due diligence and the coordination of external counsel and other advisers.
- Track transaction deliverables, conditions precedent, approvals and outstanding matters.
- Conduct legal and corporate research as required.

Corporate Governance & Entity Management

- Assist with the administration and governance of companies and investment vehicles across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain corporate records, organizational charts, registers and entity information.
- Coordinate board and shareholder resolutions, director appointments, corporate filings and annual compliance requirements.
- Liaise with corporate service providers, registered agents, notaries and external counsel.
- Monitor corporate deadlines and ensure required filings and approvals are completed.

Compliance, KYC & AML

- Support the Family Office's KYC, AML and counterparty due diligence processes.
- Collect and review corporate documentation, ownership information,

identification documents and supporting KYC materials.
- Assist with sanctions, PEP and adverse-media screening and escalation of potential issues.
- Review ownership and control structures and assist in identifying beneficial owners, directors and authorized signatories.
- Maintain organized compliance files and appropriate records of reviews undertaken.
- Coordinate KYC requests received from banks, investment counterparties, professional advisers and other institutions.
- Assist with the continued development and implementation of internal compliance procedures and checklists.

Single Family Office Support

- Support the broader legal and administrative requirements of the Family Office and family-owned structures.
- Assist with banking, investment, insurance, real estate and other family-office documentation.
- Coordinate documentation and information requested by banks, tax advisers, auditors, lawyers and other professional advisers.
- Support the opening and maintenance of bank, custody and investment accounts.
- Assist with documentation relating to family assets, holding structures and investment vehicles.
- Maintain accurate and accessible legal and administrative records across the Family Office.
- Help coordinate matters involving multiple jurisdictions, advisers and family entities.
- Support senior team members on ad hoc legal, governance and family-office projects.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone with approximately 5–8 years of relevant professional experience.

The adecuado candidate will have:

- A law degree or equivalent legal qualification.
- Experience in corporate law, M&A;, banking/finance, private client, compliance or a related area.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.

- An ability to understand corporate structures and work comfortably with legal and financial documentation.
- Excellent written and spoken English. Spanish or any other language would be advantageous but not required.
- Strong judgment, discretion and an understanding of the confidentiality required in a Single Family Office environment.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams independently and follow matters through to completion.
- A practical, solutions-oriented approach rather than a purely academic legal mindset.
- Confidence working directly with senior professionals, banks, external counsel and international service providers.

Previous Family Office experience is helpful but not required. We are particularly interested in finding someone intelligent, reliable and highly organized who is comfortable operating across legal, transactional, compliance and Family Office matters.

At this level, the successful candidate should be capable of taking ownership of defined workstreams and managing routine matters independently, while working under the direction of senior members of the team on more complex transactions and strategic matters.

What Makes the Role Different

This is not a conventional junior legal position focused on one narrow area of law.

The successful candidate will gain exposure to the full lifecycle of investments and family-office structures: from transactions and financing through corporate governance, banking, compliance and ongoing administration.

The role therefore offers the opportunity to develop a much broader understanding of how an international Single Family Office and investment platform operates in practice.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the business, takes ownership of matters and is willing to deal with both the sophisticated legal issues and the practical details required to get things done.
