About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Geoscientist to join their exploration and production team in Queenstown, contributing to the discovery and development of valuable energy resources. This role involves interpreting geological data, assessing subsurface reservoirs, and providing crucial insights to guide exploration strategies and drilling operations. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of geologists, geophysicists, and reservoir engineers to maximize resource recovery and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities

- Analyze seismic, well log, and core data to interpret subsurface geology and identify potential hydrocarbon reservoirs.
- Develop and refine geological models and maps to guide exploration and appraisal activities.
- Collaborate with geophysicists to integrate seismic interpretations and constrain geological models.
- Assess reservoir potential, estimate resource volumes, and provide input for field development planning.
- Work closely with drilling and production engineers to ensure well placement and operational success.




- Stay current with the latest advancements in geoscience technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

- Master's degree in Geology, Geophysics, or a related Earth Science discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in exploration geology or reservoir characterization within the oil and gas or broader energy industry.
- Proficiency in geological software packages (e.g., Petrel, Kingdom Suite) for data interpretation and modeling.
- Strong understanding of sedimentology, stratigraphy, and structural geology.
- Experience with seismic interpretation and well log analysis techniques.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
