Sales & Business Development Internship — Privacy Pioneers Program Valencia | Full-time/ Part-time |
Hybrid/ Remote
About the Role
Artificial intelligence and use of personal data to drive its development is being embedded into every function of every enterprise — and the vast majority of organisations lack the internal capability to govern it responsibly. This is creating one of the fastest-growing problems in the technology sector. Our internship program is designed to prepare you for an industry that is looking to solve this problem.
This is a structured, hands-on program for top graduates who want to launch a career in B2B tech solution selling. You'll join TrustWorks' sales pod in Valencia and work directly alongside our Growth team, learning how pipeline is built from the ground up — from prospect research to outreach execution.
This is a 6-month internship where you will train with passionate team members who are making a meaningful impact at TrustWorks. By the end of the program, strong performers will be operating with the independence expected of a full growth partner, with a clear path to a permanent role.
Our MissionTrustWorks was founded on a simple conviction: Europe cannot outsource the governance of its most sensitive data and AI systems to solutions built and controlled outside its borders. As AI becomes embedded in critical infrastructure, financial services, and public institutions, the question of who governs that technology — and under whose jurisdiction — is no longer academic. It is a matter of digital sovereignty.
Our mission is to build Europe's flagship compliance platform: a solution designed, governed, and operated on European terms. This is not a defensive position. It's a recognition that regulatory leadership — GDPR, the AI Act, DORA, NIS2 — only translates into real strategic advantage if Europe also controls the tools that enforce it.
Joining TrustWorks means contributing to that effort at a foundational stage — building the category-defining company in a field Europe cannot afford to get wrong.

What You'll Work On
- Prospect List Building — Build targeted lists by vertical, geography, and persona using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, and other approved tools — delivered segmented and ready for sequencing.
- CRM Data Quality — Audit and enrich HubSpot records: deduplication, missing fields, outdated titles, and ICP classification accuracy.
- LinkedIn Outreach — Execute structured outreach sequences on behalf of the BDR team, personalising within approved playbooks and logging all activity in HubSpot.
- RFP Applications — Build responses to RFPs.
- Business Case — Develop business case materials for prospects — ROI framing, compliance risk exposure, and competitive positioning.
- Tender Applications — Coordinate the administrative assembly of tender submissions, working from Account Executive-provided commercial and technical content rather than originating it.
- Community Facilitator — Ensure engagement in TrustWorks' external communities (LinkedIn groups, IAPP-adjacent forums, customer/partner Slack where applicable): monitor for relevant conversations, surface engagement opportunities.
- Build AI Operations — Develop and maintain TrustWorks' Claude projects: maintaining up-to-date context, ensuring sales and GTM knowledge base provide the required context for AI queries, and resolving gaps that affect output quality.
Programme Structure Your first months at TrustWorks follow a deliberate arc - from learning the craft to owning it.
You'll spend your first month getting under the hood: understanding TrustWorks' product, the privacy landscape, and the specific markets you'll be working in. You'll get hands-on with HubSpot, learn how we approach LinkedIn outreach, and absorb the messaging playbooks built for each market. By the end of month one, you'll know who we sell to, why they buy, and how we talk to them.
Months two through four are where you start building. You'll be in the tools daily - researching prospects, enriching our CRM, and executing outreach sequences alongside the BDR team. This is supported work, but it's real work: your lists get used, your messages go out, your data quality matters.
By months five and six, the training wheels come off. You'll run outreach independently, under BDR supervision, with your performance reviewed against the bar we'd expect from a full SDR. This is your audition for a permanent role - and for those who nail it,
that conversation happens before your last day.
