About the opportunity
Epitech Barcelona is seeking experienced engineers, researchers, and technology professionals to contribute to its international, project-based educational programs.
We are developing hands-on learning experiences in robotics, embedded technologies, intelligent connected systems, and artificial intelligence. We welcome professionals interested in sharing their technical expertise with software engineering students through practical challenges, workshops, specialized modules, and mentoring.
This is not a conventional full-time teaching position. We offer flexible collaborations adapted to each professional's expertise, interests, and availability.
Areas of expertise
We are particularly interested in professionals working in one or more of the following fields:
- IoT and Embedded Systems: sensor integration, microcontrollers, connectivity, embedded software, hardware–software integration.
- Robotics and Autonomous Systems: robotic platforms, perception, navigation, autonomous decision-making, intelligent agents, and system orchestration.
- Edge AI: embedded machine learning, TinyML, computer vision, model optimization, real-time inference, and AI deployment on resource-constrained devices.
- Connected Technologies: industrial IoT, satellite IoT, data acquisition, visualization, distributed architectures, and cybersecurity for connected systems.
We also welcome proposals involving other emerging technologies with relevant practical applications.
Possible forms of collaboration
Depending on your expertise and availability, you could:
- Design and deliver a complete technical learning module.
- Facilitate a hands-on workshop or specialized masterclass.
- Mentor student teams developing practical technology projects.
- Propose and supervise an industry-inspired technical challenge.
- Share your professional experience through practical demonstrations and interactive sessions.
There is no fixed minimum commitment. The scope and duration of each collaboration will be defined together.
Our pedagogical approach
At Epitech, we believe students learn best by doing.
Our project-based methodology emphasizes experimentation, independent problem-solving, collaboration, peer learning, and practical implementation.
As a collaborating expert, you will be encouraged to design learning experiences where students actively apply technical concepts, confront real engineering constraints, build solutions, and justify their decisions.
Our pedagogical team will support you in defining learning objectives, structuring activities, designing projects, and adapting your intervention to the students' level.
Your profile
We are looking for professionals who:
- Have solid technical expertise gained through industry, engineering, applied research, or technology development.
- Enjoy sharing knowledge and guiding others through practical challenges.
- Can translate professional experience into relevant hands-on learning opportunities.
- Are comfortable working with students from different backgrounds and technical levels.
- Can deliver their interventions in English, in person, at our Barcelona campus .
Previous teaching experience is appreciated but not required . Technical expertise, motivation, and an interest in active learning are equally important.
