The role focuses on building scalable data pipelines, developing SQL-based data models, and supporting data-driven business processes. Working closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and Solution Architects, the developer contributes to the continuous improvement of the company's cloud-based data platform while ensuring high standards for quality and maintainability. Responsibilities Software & Database Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and database solutions on Google Cloud Platform Develop efficient and maintainable SQL code for data transformation and reporting Build and optimize data models using dbt (Data Build Tool)Develop and maintain ETL processes Optimize database performance and query execution Perform unit testing and support integration testing activities Cloud Engineering Develop cloud-native solutions using Google Cloud Platform services Work with Big Query as the primary data platform Monitor data quality Support deployment and release activities Agile Team Collaboration Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Data Engineers, Architects, and Business Analysts Work in an international agile team within Deutsche Telekom Collaborate daily with business experts, architects and software engineers located in Germany and Nearshore locations Participate in Sprint Planning, Refinements, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews, and Retrospectives Contribute to technical solution design and architecture discussions Review code and ensure compliance with development standards and best practices Continuously improve development processes and engineering practices Your Profile We are seeking a Software / Database Developer with strong expertise in cloud-based data solutions, SQL development, and modern data engineering tools on Google Cloud Platform,



combined with experience in agile methodologies and collaborative teamwork. Must Have Skills Strong experience in software development with a focus on database development Excellent SQL programming skills Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)Strong knowledge of Big Query Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration Experience using Git for version control Experience with CI/CD concepts and Dev Ops practices Knowledge of relational database design and data modeling Experience developing ETL pipelines Experience with REST APIs and data integration concepts Familiarity with Agile software development (Scrum and/or SAFe)Nice to Have Skills German language skills Experience using AI-assisted software development tools (e.g., Git Hub Copilot, or similar) to improve development efficiency and code quality Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities into data products and data-driven solutions Knowledge of Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or AI-powered data engineering concepts Interest in evaluating and adopting emerging AI technologies to enhance data engineering, analytics, and software development processes Telecommunications industry experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Structured and solution-oriented working style Good communication skills Strong collaboration skills within international teams High level of ownership and accountability Continuous learning mindset Ability to work independently Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables Customer-oriented mindset Proactive and hands-on attitude About UsT-Systems is part of the Deutsche Telekom Group, with around 30,000 employees worldwide.
