Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks a Technical Application Scientist II to provide expert support on flow cytometry panel design and experimental troubleshooting to researchers globally. The role combines technical expertise with customer-facing problem-solving in a collaborative, international environment based in Madrid, Barcelona, Darmstadt, Paisley, or Milan.
Responsibilities
- Design and review flow cytometry panels; guide customers through experimental setup and troubleshooting
- Deliver technical support for flow reagents via phone, email, and web channels
- Resolve complex technical questions by coordinating with internal experts and resources
- Document customer interactions in CRM systems to support quality and process improvement
- Develop and maintain knowledge bases, training materials,



and technical documentation

Requirements
- PhD in Life Sciences or Master's degree with 2-5 years hands-on flow cytometry laboratory experience
- Fluent English written and spoken; additional languages advantageous
- Strong understanding of immunology fundamentals
- Prior customer-facing technical support experience preferred
- Experience with multicolor spectral flow cytometry experiments advantageous
- Proficiency with CRM systems, databases, and standard office applications
- Strong analytical thinking and rapid technical learning ability
