: Airport & Maritime Passenger Journey Business SME

Role Overview

We are seeking a Business Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong understanding of airport and/or maritime passenger operations to help define integrated passenger journey solutions across airports, airlines, cruise lines, ports and ferry operators. The role will bridge business requirements and technology solutions, identifying opportunities to connect passenger processes, data and services across the air and maritime ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyse airport and maritime passenger journeys, identifying operational touchpoints, pain points and integration opportunities.
- Define business use cases for seamless passenger journeys across airports, cruise terminals, seaports and ferry services.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, process flows, solution concepts and business cases.
- Identify opportunities to integrate passenger information across booking, check-in, identity verification, boarding, baggage, terminal operations and onward travel.
- Work with solution architects and technology teams to shape end-to-end solutions, including data sharing, interoperability and API-led integration.
- Engage with stakeholders across airports, airlines, cruise operators, port authorities, border agencies and technology providers.
- Support discovery workshops, solution design, proof of concepts, proposals and client presentations.




- Identify relevant industry standards, regulatory considerations and opportunities to improve passenger experience, operational efficiency and revenue.

Essential Skills & Experience

- Experience in airport, airline, cruise, maritime, port or passenger transport operations.
- Strong understanding of passenger processing, terminal operations and end-to-end customer journeys.
- Ability to bridge business requirements with technology architecture and integration solutions.
- Experience in business analysis, process mapping, requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate business value to senior stakeholders.

Preferred

- Experience across both aviation and maritime domains, particularly cruise and ferry passenger operations.
- Knowledge of passenger data interoperability, digital identity, biometrics, booking systems, border control and API-based integration.
- Experience with multi-stakeholder transformation programmes and cross-industry solution development.

Adecuado Candidate: A commercially minded domain expert who understands passenger operations and can translate opportunities across the airport and maritime ecosystems into practical, integrated technology solutions. Experience in both domains is advantageous, but strong expertise in one domain combined with the ability to bridge into the other is acceptable.
