AI Engineer - AWS | Freelance Contractor

Project Overview

We are looking for an experienced AI Engineer with strong AWS expertise to join a long-term project in Spain, contributing to the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI solutions within a cloud-based environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with Data Engineering, Software Development, and Business teams to transform business requirements into production-ready AI applications, leveraging AWS services and modern AI technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement AI and Machine Learning solutions using AWS cloud services.

- Build and deploy AI-powered applications, integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, and other AI capabilities where applicable.

- Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure AI pipelines and services.

- Leverage AWS services such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, AWS Lambda, and other relevant cloud technologies.

- Integrate AI models and services into existing applications, APIs, and data platforms.

- Implement best practices for model deployment, monitoring, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure AI solutions meet technical and business requirements.

- Contribute to architecture decisions, technical documentation,



and continuous improvement of AI solutions.

Required Experience & Skills

- Proven experience as an AI Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar technical role.

- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and AI/ML solutions.

- Solid programming skills in Python and experience with relevant AI/ML frameworks and libraries.

- Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining AI models and applications in production environments.

- Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI application integration.

- Experience with REST APIs, cloud-native architectures, and software engineering best practices.

- Understanding of data processing, model evaluation, monitoring, and MLOps principles.

- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with distributed technical teams.
