DIS - CREADIS Engineering Solutions u0026 Consulting
Barcelona
At CREADIS Spain, we are growing our Mechanical Solutions & Services team.
We support customers across renewable energy, defense, themed entertainment, and advanced industrial manufacturing - delivering engineering solutions where reliability, manufacturability, and effective execution are critical.
As part of the international DIS/CREADIS Group, our Spain team contributes to projects across Europe, North America, and Asia, supporting the full engineering lifecycle from early concept development and verification to manufacturing-ready solutions and operational optimization.
The Role
As a Development Engineer with a focus on Mechanical Design, you will join our CREADIS team, initially supporting one of our key customers in the wind energy industry. While this will be your first assignment, your role at CREADIS goes beyond a single project, with opportunities to contribute to different customers, industries, and engineering challenges over time.
You will support the design process from requirements definition and concept development through to manufacturing-ready solutions. A key focus of the role is the development of robust, safe welded structures and sheet metal components for industrial series production.
You will collaborate closely with customers, manufacturing partners, and cross-functional engineering teams to ensure solutions meet functional, safety, quality, and production requirements.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop mechanical components methodically across the full product lifecycle, from requirements definition to serial production
- Analyze, derive, document, and manage technical requirements, considering applicable standards, machinery safety requirements, and HSE aspects
- Create, evaluate,
and select design concepts based on functional, quality, safety, and manufacturing-related criteria
- Design welded structures and sheet metal components with a strong focus on manufacturability, robustness, and industrial standards
- Develop preferred solutions to the required design maturity for prototype build, testing, and series production
- Support prototype validation, hardware testing, and the technical assessment of test results
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, specifications, 3D models, and manufacturing drawings using Siemens NX and Teamcenter
- Collaborate effectively with international and cross-functional engineering teams throughout development and implementation
Your Background
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent technical qualification
- At least 4 years of professional experience in mechanical design or product development
- Strong competence in engineering methodologies, concept development, and structured requirements management
- Proven experience in the design of welded structures and manufacturing-oriented sheet metal components
- Solid knowledge of machinery safety requirements, relevant standards, and safety-driven product development
- Proficiency in 3D CAD systems, preferably Inventor and Siemens NX, and familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter
- Professional fluency in English and the ability to work effectively in international, cross-functional engineering teams
- A practical, structured, and solution-oriented mindset, with strong attention to quality and manufacturability
What We Offer
- Technically challenging projects with real engineering impact
- Direct customer collaboration and the opportunity to influence technical solutions
- End-to-end involvement - from requirements and concept development to validated, manufacturing-ready designs
- International collaboration across industries and regions
- A flexible hybrid working model based in Barcelona
- A professional and collaborative environment focused on engineering quality, knowledge sharing, and continuous development
Big Enough to Deliver - Small Enough to Care At DIS/CREADIS Group, we combine the capabilities of a general engineering consultancy with a collaborative and people-focused culture. Our teams bring together expertise across mechanical, electrical, software, automation, and project management disciplines to solve complex engineering challenges and help accelerate our customers’ ambitions.
We are ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 certified and actively support technical development and knowledge sharing through our global Communities of Practice.
If you are motivated by mechanical product development and want to work in an environment where engineering quality, collaboration, and practical problem-solving are highly valued, we would love to hear from you.
We value diversity and inclusion and encourage all qualified individuals to apply regardless of ethnic background, gender, sexual orientation, disability, religion, or age.
