We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Data Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable data platform solutions within a Microsoft Azure environment.
This position combines hands-on data engineering with platform infrastructure, automation, security, monitoring and performance optimisation.
What You’ll Be Doing
Design and implement scalable Azure data platform solutions.
Build and maintain solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
Automate cloud infrastructure and platform deployments using Terraform.
Configure and optimise cloud-based data storage and processing solutions.
Support Azure networking, security, access management and platform availability.
Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise platform performance.
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data solutions.
Follow Agile,
Dev Ops, security and compliance best practices.
Requirements
At least five years of professional data engineering experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and Azure Data Lake Storage.
Strong production experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
Strong Python, SQL and Spark knowledge.
Experience designing and building complete Azure data platform solutions.
Good understanding of Azure storage, networking, security and identity management.
Experience monitoring and troubleshooting production data platforms.
Nice to Have
Azure Dev Ops and CI/CD experience.
Experience working in regulated or security-sensitive environments.
Consulting or client-facing experience.
