Overview

As a Dev Ops/Cloud Platform Engineer, you will automate repetitive operations to scale an AWS data platform. You’ll implement Terraform IaC across AWS, build self-service deployment, and automate governance and cost optimization. You will collaborate with platform, data, and security teams to set standards and guardrails. You’ll improve CI/CD with Git Hub Actions and orchestrate workflows with Step Functions and Lambda. You help make the platform faster, cheaper, and compliant by design.

Responsabilidades

- Identify repetitive operational tasks and design automation to eliminate manual effort
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform across AWS environments
- Automate governance and compliance checks across accounts and resources
- Build self-service deployment capabilities for engineering and data teams
- Automate cost reporting and remediation
- Create operational dashboards and alerts to improve visibility and incident response
- Improve CI/CD processes using Git Hub (Actions, branching strategies, automated testing and promotion)
- Orchestrate operational workflows with AWS Step Functions, Event Bridge, Lambda, and Systems Manager
- Collaborate with platform, data, and security teams to define standards, guardrails, and best practices

Requisitos principales

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in Dev Ops, cloud infrastructure, or platform engineering roles
- Strong expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices (modules, state management, environments)
- Hands-on experience with AWS Step Functions, Amazon Event Bridge, AWS Systems Manager, and AWS Lambda
- Experience with Git Hub and building CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions or similar)
- Working knowledge of AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon Athena, Amazon S3, and Amazon EC2
- Strong scripting and development skills in Python and SQL
- Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and operational dashboards (Cloud Watch or similar)
- Solid understanding of Agile, SDLC, and modern engineering best practices
