Overview

As a Senior Data Engineer at Bayer, you will design, build and maintain large-scale data and analytics products to shorten the path from data collection to insight. You will assemble diverse data sets and orchestrate ETL pipelines using fit-for-purpose technologies, contributing to scalable data platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate data into actionable insights and support decision-making. This role offers the chance to influence data strategy and impact health, hunger, and climate initiatives at scale.

Responsabilidades

- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Profile data and analyze source systems to inform data use
- Design, build and test large-scale data products and integrations
- Develop and lead data integration services with teams
- Stay aware of emerging data tools and techniques and assess impact
- Select technologies to deliver resilient, scalable data solutions and pipelines
- Produce data models across subject areas and explain model usage




- Design a metadata repository and oversee metadata management
- Troubleshoot database and data pipeline issues and implement preventative measures
- Design, code, test and document moderate-to-complex programs; collaborate on specifications
- Review requirements and define test conditions; analyze and report testing results
