Overview

In this role you drive the content acquisition and FAST channel strategy for the DACH region, aligning with Rakuten TV’s AVOD & FAST objectives. You will negotiate deals with studios and rights holders, onboard local FAST channels, and manage partner relationships to ensure a compelling content slate. You’ll work closely with Legal, Finance, BI, Programming, and Marketing to implement agreements and meet performance goals. This is a data-driven, collaborative role at a leading European streaming company with a strong growth trajectory. You will shape the region’s content strategy and channel mix, delivering value for audiences and partners.

Responsabilidades

- Execute content acquisition and FAST channel carriage strategy to build a diverse slate aligned with business goals
- Negotiate and close content licensing and carriage deals with major studios, distributors, and rights holders
- Identify and onboard new locally relevant FAST channels and rights distributors in the DACH market
- Manage key partner accounts and proactively uncover new opportunities
- Coordinate with Legal, Finance, BI, Programming, Marketing, Media Sales,



and Operations to ensure accurate deal implementation and goal attainment
- Oversee complex rights management including titles, release windows, territories, languages, and rights exploitation

Requisitos principales

- Proven experience in content licensing, acquisition, or distribution, preferably in AVOD/FAST
- Strong understanding of AVOD/FAST content landscapes, audience appeal, and market trends
- Excellent negotiation and deal management across multiple territories
- Strong account management and relationship-building with studios and partners
- Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
- Analytical and commercial mindset with data-driven decision making
- Fluent English and German required; Spanish/Italian or other European languages a plus
- Preferably based in Germany; Barcelona based considered
