Overview

As Site Head of HSE, you lead the HSE function for a country/site, ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with Novartis policies. You act as the HSE interface to leadership and authorities, building governance and risk-management capabilities. You also drive Environmental Sustainability efforts across the value chain (Scope 3) and coordinate the Joint Prevention Service in Spain. This role combines strategic stewardship with hands-on risk mitigation and stakeholder engagement to enable safe, compliant operations and sustainable practice.

Responsabilidades

- Lead the HSE function at country/site level and ensure compliance with Novartis HSE documents and laws
- Establish governance and maintain strong communication with the Site Leadership team
- Manage risk portfolio, incident reporting, and CAPA execution with root cause investigations
- Develop HSE capabilities in line managers and coach them as HSE points of contact
- Contribute to HSE Services strategies,



ensuring services meet business needs and quality requirements
- Oversee regulatory climate monitoring and apply findings to Novartis sites and products
- Coordinate the Joint Prevention Service in Spain, including risk assessments and activity planning
- Provide accurate data to ECN and HSE Governance Board

Requisitos principales

- College/university degree in safety management, industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational health/medicine, engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional HSE experience
- Country-relevant HSE qualification/certification in Safety, Hygiene and Ergonomics, and Psychosocial (Grado superior)
- Spanish language knowledge required; advanced English preferred
- Ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment
- Advanced knowledge across several HSE/BCM functions
