Overview

In this role you will own People Governance & Compliance for the EMEA region, shaping local HR policy and ensuring regulatory alignment. You’ll balance hands-on casework with policy design, part of a global, collaborative team reporting to the VP of Global Governance & Compliance. The role focuses on reducing compliance risk, improving audit trails, and advancing automated governance. You’ll work closely with HRBPs, managers, and regulators to ensure consistent, compliant practices while driving transformative, data-driven governance in Europe.

Responsabilidades

- Establish and maintain standardized HR policies compliant with local labour law with room for local adaptation
- Manage policy lifecycle: drafting, exceptions, change log, communication; interpret global/local policy for business
- Monitor employment law adherence and data privacy (GDPR, DSARs, retention) with Privacy & Legal
- Conduct internal/external HR compliance audits and promote ethical practices
- Own compliance incident management (triage, RCA, CAPA) and maintain regional HR risk register; liaise with Legal on litigation and reputational risk
- Oversee OHS activities with site management coordination
- Set global standards for employee records, retention, and maintain HR policy library with version control




- Document legal research, audit findings, remediation plans, and regulatory filings (e.g., EEO-1, pay gap reports)
- Develop training materials and maintain a self-serve knowledge base and FAQ for policy rollout
- Produce compliance reporting and KPIs for leadership; oversee payroll inputs and benefits provider administration
- Perform due diligence and oversight for payroll, benefits, recruitment, immigration, and HR vendors with data protection and regulatory compliance
- Review and improve HR data collection to ensure data protection
- Act as primary HR contact for regulators and inspections; engage government bodies as needed
- Represent the company in legal proceedings and fulfill board-mandated HR duties as required
- Partner with People Advisory on union/works council negotiation docs and agreement compliance
- Perform ongoing due diligence for payroll, benefits, recruitment, immigration, and other HR vendors

Requisitos principales

- Fluency in English, Spanish, and French
- Significant HR compliance, employment law, or HR governance experience across multiple European jurisdictions
- Strong knowledge of European employment law and data privacy regulation (GDPR)
- Ability to work independently in a matrixed, global organization; track record of process improvement or automation
- Strong stakeholder management and credibility to advise senior HR and business leaders
- Based in or willing to relocate to Barcelona or Madrid
