Experteer Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Accounting squad, you will help shape the technical direction and lead complex initiatives for reliable financial systems supporting bookkeeping and month-end close. You collaborate with product, design, accounting specialists and other engineers to translate business needs into robust architectures. You’ll drive architecture decisions, raise engineering standards, and own end-to-end delivery from discovery to production. This role combines hands-on development with strategic impact in a fast-growing fintech environment.

• Lead design and development of systems for bookkeeping preparation, payables and payment workflows
• Build rules-based automation for payable and expense coding
• Improve enrichment, classification, validation and reconciliation of spend data
• Contribute to supplier and receipt management capabilities
• Build accounting visibility and auditability for Finance teams
• Design robust workflows for complex financial rules and reconciliation scenarios




• Define and evolve scalable architectures, domain boundaries and integration patterns
• Own technical initiatives from discovery through production rollout and continuous improvement
• Make pragmatic decisions on data consistency, reliability, observability and maintainability
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Accounting and Operations stakeholders to translate requirements into solutions
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers
• Help shape engineering practices, standards and roadmap
• Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly and promote effective workflows
