A international school is looking for a passionate and experienced Music & Piano Teacher to join its academic team on a temporary basis, with immediate availability.

Functions

The candidate will be responsible for inspiring students and fostering a genuine love of music, while developing their musical skills, creativity and cultural awareness through an inquiry-based approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Music lessons for Primary students.
- Develop teaching plans for disciplinary and transdisciplinary units.
- Teach Piano as part of the school's music programme.
- Be adaptable to support teaching in the Early Years/Infant School when required.
- Participate in department meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
- Contribute to assessment and curriculum development.
- Support students in preparing for and participating in school festivals and musical performances.
- Participate in school activities and community events.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Music curriculum.

Requirements




- Previous experience teaching Music in Primary education.
- Piano teaching experience.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).
- Native or near-native level of English.
- Spanish and/or Catalan will be considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching to different learning needs and student profiles.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach.

Digital & AI Skills
- Basic familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot or similar platforms.
- Experience with Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with music education software such as MuseScore, Noteflight or similar platforms is a plus.

What We Offer

Schedule: Monday & Thursday, 9:20–17:00; Friday, 9:00–17:00

Contract: Temporary

Salary: According to the applicable Primary Education collective agreement
