The Role The AP Accounting Specialist will be responsible for the integrity of the Barcelona campus's financial backbone. This role is a highly hands‐on, second‐in‐command position designed for a patient, resilient professional who thrives in a demanding, fast‐paced environment. The successful candidate will oversee the full cycle of Accounts Payable process, from tax compliance to executing payroll entries.
- Strategic Leadership & Departmental Management Operational Autonomy: Lead the AP and Accounting function with a results‐oriented mindset, ensuring all financial KPIs are met without the need for constant supervision. Digital Transformation: Proactively identify opportunities for automation and process optimization within the accounting function to drive institutional efficiency. Team Stewardship:

- Financial Operations & Compliance Full‐Cycle Accounting: Execute month‐end and year‐end closing procedures with absolute precision, ensuring the integrity of the General Ledger. Accounts Payable Governance: Validate and process supplier invoices via Sage X3, ensuring rigorous adherence to approval workflows and maintaining an accurate aging report. Fiscal Compliance: Oversee tax obligations and support external audit requirements in full alignment with Spanish PGC (Plan General Contable) and corporate regulations. Payroll & Treasury: Manage the accounting entries for payroll execution and co‐lead daily treasury operations, including cash flow monitoring and bank reconciliations.
