Bioprocess Engineer – Process Development
Newton Colmore is working with a well-funded tech company developing AI-driven bioprocessing systems for the pharmaceutical industry. Due to continued growth, we are assisting them with their hiring of a Bioprocess Engineer to join their team which is a vital appointment for them.
Within this role you will bridge process biology and advanced sensing, running suspension cultures across scales from the bench to pilot, building and maintaining Raman/PLS models, and translating bioreactor behaviour into requirements for engineering and software teams.
You will be joining a multidisciplinary team of highly talented engineers and scientists, and your role will be pivotal to the development of their technology.
We are ideally looking for a candidate with the following;
Prior industry experience within pharma/biotech, strong upstream focus
Cell culture in fed-batch and perfusion bioreactors, with scale-up/scale-down and tech transfer experience under GMP
Hands-on with in-line/at-line sensors, calibration and analytes glucose, lactate, titer, osmolality etc.
Raman spectroscopy with PLS chemometric modelling, ideally.
Overall the client is open on experience though, so if you have strong upstream development experience then do apply and we can talk through the rest.
