This position is offered under the Torres Quevedo 2026 funding call, supporting the recruitment of PhD-qualified staff for R&D; in companies. The selected candidate will be included in ICATALIST’s application for a three-year funded R&D; project focused on geospatial software architectures and integrating scientific models into decision support systems.The project aims to develop in-house, reusable technological capabilities at ICATALIST, with initial applications in climate adaptation projects and geospatial decision support systems.

Contract arrangement: Joining ICATALIST as a candidate for the Torres Quevedo 2026 grant to undertake a three-year R&D; project, with the possibility of continuing thereafter.

Academic qualifications: PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. Applicants must hold a doctoral degree when the application is submitted. Experience in software development is required.

Desirable experience: Particular value will be placed on experience in software architecture and development, geospatial systems and databases, APIs, integration of scientific models and development of decision support platforms.
