Nord Gas Solutions is looking for a hands-on and technically strong Head of Financial Control to lead accounting and financial control across an international group. You will own the full journey from monthly close and consolidation to statutory reporting, audit and high-quality financial statements, while leading a team across several countries and helping shape our future finance platform.
A role with real scope and influence
This is a key finance leadership role for someone who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with people leadership and practical delivery. You will be accountable for the quality, timeliness and completeness of accounts across four entities operated in-house and nine entities supported by an outsourced accounting provider.
You will work closely with Business Control, Treasury, project controllers, auditors and the owner. Because the group is project-driven, you will be a trusted partner to the project controllers on revenue recognition, project accounting and balance sheet exposure.
You will have also an active role in the implementation of IFS as the group new ERP system
What you will be responsible for
• Lead the monthly close, consolidation and group reporting on fixed deadlines.
• Own group accounting policies under IFRS and make sound technical accounting judgements.
• Ensure statutory accounts, VAT reporting and tax accounting are completed across the relevant jurisdictions.
• Lead external audits for the entities and the group.
• Strengthen financial reporting controls, reconciliations, payment approvals and segregation of duties.
• Oversee accounting operations covering payables, receivables, fixed assets, leases, inventory, work in progress, payroll and treasury accounting.
• Lead and develop the Financial Control team across several countries.
• Manage outsourced accounting and payroll providers, including service quality, deliverables and issue escalation.
