Job Description A new position for a GSE (Ground Support Equipment) Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Getafe (Madrid area). GSE is a department with a high growth potential that several young colleagues have joined in the last two years. The position will be mainly focused on the Eurofighter programme, but will also tackle the rest of the combat programs under the department responsibility: SIRTAP, Eurodrone and FCAS (Future Combat Air System). GSE is an engineering department in charge of the identification, design, development and validation on aircraft of all ground support equipment needed for the operation and maintenance of the aircrafts in the customer operations. Additionally, it also provides technical support to the Customer in the daily use of the GSEs at the Air Bases. GSE is a key activity for the company as our equipment are used every day in every aircraft and in all Customers around the world. The position is part of the Services Organization (TAS) within Airbus Defence and Space, and in particular in TASSE6 (Ground Support Equipment).Main tasks and responsibilities Preparation of GSE Technical SpecificationsTechnical support to supplier selectionDesign follow-upPrototype Manufacturing follow-upValidation of the equipment on the aircraftQualification and Compatibility TestsOther tasks to be performed:Preparation of GSE recommendations for the Customers.Evaluations (Site Surveys)
