What are we looking for
A DevOps Engineer, to join a stable international project, based in MADRID, collaborating in data virtualization project, ensuring the performance, stability, and cost optimization of the data access platform while following the guidelines and technologies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations & RUN- Monitor the Dremio platform (clusters, services, jobs, infrastructure)- Manage incidents and problems (L2/L3 support) while meeting RTO and RPO targets- Track platform availability and SLA compliance- Provide support to Data teams (Data Engineers / Analysts)
Industrialization & DevOps- Automate deployments (CI/CD)- Standardize environments (DEV / PREPROD / PROD)- Implement DevOps best practices (versioning, pipelines)
Performance & Scalability- Optimize Dremio queries- Size and tune clusters (CPU, RAM, storage) with the support of Infrastructure provider- Manage caching, reflections,



and query acceleration- Analyze performance bottlenecks (I/O, network, compute)
Observability & Monitoring- Build monitoring dashboards (Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace)- Track key metrics:o Query latencyo Cluster saturationo Resource consumption- Implement alerting and continuous improvement processes
Cloud & Infrastructure- Manage the deployment by IT Ops on Kubernetes / OpenShift- Integrate with Data Lakes (S3, HDFS, etc.) with the support of the infrastructure provider
FinOps & Cost Optimization- Analyze infrastructure and product costs- Optimize usage (auto-shutdown, sizing, scheduling)- Provide architecture recommendations for cost efficiency
Data- Provide vision and support for building virtualized Data Lakehouses on Dremio- Implement controls and monitoring mechanisms for data usage and access- Contribute to improving data usage by optimizing virtualized datasets and pipelines (in collaboratio
