Teach Chemistry in Madrid
You'll teach Chemistry at IGCSE and A-Level in a school where science matters. Small class sizes, well-equipped labs, and a team that takes the subject seriously. Your students go on to study Medicine, Engineering and Biomedical Sciences at top universities across Europe and the UK.
Holy Mary is an independent British Catholic school in Madrid, founded in 2009. We're not part of a chain — decisions are made here, not in a corporate office. That means less bureaucracy and more room to teach the way you believe works best.
Why Madrid
Madrid is one of Europe's most liveable cities. 300 days of sunshine, world-class food, excellent public transport, and a cost of living significantly lower than London or Dublin. A vibrant international community, direct flights to most European capitals, and a quality of life that's hard to match.
Many teachers who come for a year end up staying for ten.

Why Holy Mary?
We're not a corporation. We're not part of a chain of schools across multiple continents. We're a family school, founded by educators, run with the values of a family. What does that mean in practice?
- You're a person, not a number. Our headteacher knows every teacher. Decisions happen through conversations, not HR portals.
- Students want to learn. Class sizes are small, parents are supportive, and behaviour (most days) is excellent.
- Community matters. We celebrate together, support each other, and protect the culture
