Experteer Overview
As a Data Centre Architect in Madrid, you will lead architectural designs for AWS data centers across EMEA, guiding prototypical facilities from concept through construction. You collaborate with a cross-functional team of architects, engineers and designers to solve complex problems and push design quality. You’ll develop design basis, prototypes and templates, while tracking cost, quality and schedule to support regional deployments. This role offers impact on scalable, secure data center solutions and a chance to influence global infrastructure. You will travel to site locations as needed to drive outcomes.

• Communicate and document conceptual designs; develop and maintain Basis of Design, prototype designs and template specifications.
• Create and monitor metrics for design cost, quality and duration; prepare budgets and contribute to business cases for region deployments.
• Coordinate with AWS Engineering leads to schedule resources and adapt designs to internal needs.
• Define project scope,



schedule and deliverables with internal customers; manage external design consultants through design and construction.
• Prepare, review and release design RFPs; coordinate with M,E,Cabling engineers.
• Identify innovative solutions to reduce costs without compromising quality or reliability.
• Travel for site assessments, design meetings and construction reviews (anticipated up to 25%).

Responsabilidades
• Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities
• Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
• Professional Architects licence (preferred)
• Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
