Experteer Overview
As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Serco, you will design, develop and maintain software supporting Science Operations Centres across the mission lifecycle. You will work with cross-mission teams to enable reuse, harmonisation and shared frameworks for ESA missions. You’ll operate in Agile and DevOps settings, delivering reliable software for scientific data exploitation and mission support. This is a hands-on role with impact on both development and operations in a highly collaborative, mission-driven environment.

• Develop backend services, APIs and modern web applications
• Support integration, testing, deployment and operational maintenance
• Collaborate with cross-mission teams to promote reuse and harmonisation

• Investigate and resolve defects and performance issues




• Support software release activities with DevOps teams
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
• Participate in technical reviews, validation campaigns and mission support activities

Responsabilidades
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline
• Experience with Java and/or Python
• Experience with modern frontend development frameworks and technologies
• Experience with REST APIs and distributed architectures
• Experience with software integration in complex environments
• Familiarity with Linux environments and Git-based workflows
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum
• Understanding of CI/CD and DevOps
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies and automated testing frameworks
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Good written and spoken English
