Baker’s Bay Golf & Ocean Club is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join the Accounts Department.The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring vendors and suppliers are paid accurately and on time. The role supports the organisation’s accounting operations, requires strict adherence to company policies, and involves handling confidential financial information.. RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices for paymentPrepare payments – checks and electronic transfers and record accurately in the accounting softwareReconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptlyMaintain accurate accounts payable records and support filesOnboard vendors in accordance with company policies, requirements,



and established proceduresCommunicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and account reconciliationAssist with month-end and year-end closing activitiesPrepare reports related to accounts payable as requested by managerMaintain confidentiality of financial informationPerform other accounting and administrative duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Associate degree, diploma or certificate in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping, or a related field preferredMinimum of one year experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping or general accounting.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills preferredWorking knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial recordkeeping practicesStrong numerical and analytical abilities, attention to detail, effective organizational and time management skills, and exceptional verbal and written communication skillsExperience working in a high-volume accounts payable environmentFamiliarity with ERP and accounting systems, including Sage, and proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of Bahamian accounting practices, business operations, and regulatory requirementsExperience working in the hospitality or private club industries preferred#J-18808-Ljbffr
