Overview In this role, you will lead Deel’s integral Dev Ops team to scale a highly available SaaS platform.

You will partner with cross

- functional squads to improve automation, reliability, and observability across multiple AWS environments.

You’ll own governance, security, cost optimization, and incident response, shaping self-service tooling and golden paths for engineers.

- Lead and mentor a global Dev Ops engineering team
- Collaborate with developers, Cloud Ops, and automation engineers to improve efficiency, scale, reliability and observability
- Continuously improve CI/CD, IaC and monitoring
- Own multiple AWS environments across accounts, including governance, security (IAM, secrets, compliance) and cost optimization
- Own reliability: on-call, incident response, post-mortems, SLOs, disaster recovery and capacity planning
- Build self-service tooling and golden paths so engineers can work independently within shared standards
- Identify bottlenecks and automation opportunities, then implement fixes




- Set priorities and report to engineering leadership Requisitos principales
- 2+ years managing Dev Ops/SRE/Platform teams
- 5+ years as a Dev Ops engineer
- Deep knowledge of AWS
- multi-account setups, managed services (Cloud Front, RDS, Elasticache) including networking (VPC, DNS, load balancing, service mesh)
- Deep hands-on Kubernetes expertise (EKS) including cluster design, upgrades, multi-cluster operations, service mesh, Crossplane, Cluster Autoscalers, ingress controllers, network policies, RBAC, workload security and resource tuning
- IaC experience (Terraform/Cloud Formation/Pulumi/Crossplane)
- CI/CD and Git Ops experience (Git Hub Actions/Jenkins, ArgoCD/Flux, Helm)
- Python, Node.js or Bash scripting
- Database and messaging experience (PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ)
- Observability experience (Prometheus Stack, Coralogix/Data Dog Open Telemetry)
- Security and compliance experience (SOC 2/ISO)
- Production experience with uptime, DR and incident troubleshooting
- Clear communication and a strong sense of ownership
- Nice to have: Go, multi-cloud, Fin Ops, experience scaling teams across time zones
