We’re looking for an Electronics Engineer to help develop Dygma’s next-generation ergonomic peripherals and improve the products we already manufacture.
At Dygma, we design premium ergonomic peripherals that help people work and play more comfortably. Our products combine electronics, mechanical design, firmware, and software, and we work closely with manufacturing partners to bring them to life.
You’ll be part of our engineering team, taking electronics from early concepts and prototypes through to production. Your work will directly influence product performance, reliability, quality, and cost.
What you'll doElectronics design and development
- Design and review electronic schematics and multilayer PCB layouts.
- Select electronic components based on technical requirements, availability, lifecycle, and cost.
- Work with our mechanical and industrial design team to integrate PCBs and other electronic components into the product.
- Build and bring up prototypes, carry out measurements, and troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Define and run tests to validate functionality, power consumption, and reliability.
- Collaborate with our firmware team to test hardware–firmware interactions and investigate issues.
Manufacturing and production
- Prepare and maintain manufacturing documentation, including PCB fabrication and assembly files, bills of materials, assembly drawings, and test specifications.
- Work directly with external PCB and assembly suppliers, primarily in China, to resolve technical questions, reduce costs, and address manufacturing issues.
- Review designs with suppliers for manufacturability and testability.
- Develop and validate production test procedures, fixtures, and test jigs.
- Support pilot builds and production launches, ensuring that designs and manufacturing processes are ready for production.
- Manage hardware revisions, component substitutions, and engineering changes, keeping documentation and suppliers aligned.
Quality and continuous improvement
- Investigate failures found during production, internal testing, and customer use.
- Identify root causes and work with suppliers and the engineering team to implement and verify corrective actions.
- Coordinate testing with external certification laboratories and help resolve issues identified during testing.
What you'll bring
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in electronics or hardware development and manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience taking an electronic product from prototype into production.
- A solid understanding of digital and analog electronics, microcontrollers, and power supply circuits.
- Experience designing schematics and multilayer PCBs using a professional electronic design tool.
- Experience preparing bills of materials and manufacturing documentation.
- Confident use of laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and bench power supplies.
- Practical soldering and rework skills for building, modifying and debugging prototypes.
- A structured approach to troubleshooting, root cause analysis and documenting results.
- The ability to work independently, communicate clearly and collaborate with remote teams and suppliers.
- Strong written and spoken English, as it will be your main working language.
Nice to have
- Experience with KiCad.
- Experience working directly with international suppliers in PCB fabrication and assembly.
- Experience developing production tests and test fixtures.
- Experience with USB, Bluetooth Low Energy, or other wireless consumer products.
- Experience with battery-powered devices, charging circuits, and power management.
- Familiarity with embedded C/C++ and Python for debugging, automation, or test development.
- Experience preparing products for CE compliance and FCC testing, and working with external laboratories.
What we offer
- A full-time position with direct involvement in product development and manufacturing.
- A hybrid role based in Valencia, with office and laboratory work depending on the stage of each project.
- A gross annual salary to be agreed based on your experience and expertise.
- The opportunity to work on products from the first prototype through to production and customer use.
- A collaborative, hands-on and international team.
- Direct communication and the opportunity to influence technical and product decisions.
- Room to develop your expertise and take on greater responsibility as the team grows.
- A PC or Mac and, of course, a Dygma keyboard.
