We are looking for an experienced Project Engineer (Process) – Compounding to manage engineering projects involving process equipment and ancillary systems within a manufacturing environment.

The role covers the entire project lifecycle, from the definition of technical specifications and equipment design through manufacturing, installation, and commissioning. The selected candidate will ensure compliance with GMP requirements, EU GMP Annex 1, applicable machinery safety directives, and production efficiency standards, while overseeing project planning, timelines, deliverables, and budget.

‼️Although the position is based in Barcelona, the successful candidate will be assigned to a project in Sant Cugat del Vallès for the initial two-year assignment. Upon completion of this project, the candidate will be assigned to other projects based at our Barcelona office.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Manage engineering projects involving process equipment and ancillary systems, covering the entire process from manufacturing through to palletizing, including all supporting equipment.
- Define equipment technical specifications and requirements in line with project objectives, operational needs, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and monitor activities, timelines, and deliverables from internal engineering teams and external suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with GMP requirements, EU GMP Annex 1, applicable machinery safety directives, and production efficiency standards.
- Oversee project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and budget management.
- Lead and coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), equipment installation, Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.




- Support equipment qualification activities, ensuring that all relevant requirements and documentation are addressed.
- Work independently, proactively identifying potential issues and ensuring the timely delivery of project milestones.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure the successful integration of equipment and ancillary systems into the manufacturing process.

Required Qualifications

- At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in a Project Engineer and/or Process Engineer role.
- Previous experience in compounding, manufacturing, formulation, or process engineering environments.
- Experience managing engineering projects involving process equipment and supporting systems.
- Knowledge of GMP requirements and EU GMP Annex 1.
- Familiarity with machinery safety requirements and applicable directives.
- Experience with FAT, SAT, installation, commissioning, and equipment qualification support.
- Ability to define technical requirements, coordinate suppliers, and monitor project deliverables independently.
- Ability to work on-site and manage activities in a dynamic project environment.
- Fluent Spanish and good command of English.
