About the Role
An international engineering and advanced technology company is seeking a
Configuration Management Coordinator
to support its engineering, product development, and manufacturing operations.
The position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, traceability, and compliance of engineering documentation and product configurations throughout the product lifecycle.
The successful candidate will coordinate engineering changes, maintain configuration baselines, manage technical documentation, and support the effective integration of
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Data Management (PDM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
.
This role requires strong organisational and analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, programme management, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
Configuration Management & Engineering Change Control
Develop, implement, and maintain configuration management processes, procedures, and documentation.
Coordinate configuration identification, change control, status accounting, verification, and configuration audits.
Review proposed engineering changes and evaluate their potential impact on product configurations, technical documentation, and associated systems.
Manage engineering change records, including
Engineering Change Requests (ECR), Engineering Change Notices (ECN), variances, and other modification records
.
Ensure engineering changes are properly reviewed, authorised, documented, and tracked throughout the approval process.
Maintain and control technical configuration baselines, document revisions, and configuration status records.
Coordinate the release and implementation of approved engineering changes across relevant departments.
Support compliance with established configuration management procedures and programme requirements.
Change Control Board Coordination
Organise and coordinate
Configuration Review Boards (CRB)
and
Configuration Control Boards (CCB)
.
Prepare meeting agendas, supporting documentation, and change review materials.
Facilitate meetings, record decisions, and distribute meeting minutes.
Track action items, approvals, and outstanding engineering change activities.
Coordinate with programme managers, engineering teams, manufacturing departments, and external subcontractors.
Ensure change control activities are aligned with the applicable Configuration Management Plan.
PLM, PDM & Engineering Data Management
Support the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of configuration management and product lifecycle management systems.




Ensure accurate and consistent engineering data across
PLM, PDM, ERP, and MES platforms
.
Maintain engineering documentation, revision histories, and configuration records throughout the product lifecycle.
Review released engineering change information and coordinate updates with engineering, manufacturing, and document control teams.
Support engineering data management, technical document release, and configuration traceability.
Identify opportunities to improve system functionality, data quality, and operational efficiency.
Develop reports, tracking tools, and documentation to support engineering and programme management activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, programme management, and technical documentation teams.
Coordinate engineering change activities with internal stakeholders and external subcontractors.
Support programme configuration management and data management requirements.
Provide guidance to internal users regarding configuration management procedures and systems.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering change control, documentation, and product lifecycle processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree.
Minimum 3 years of professional experience in engineering change management, configuration management, or technical document control.
Demonstrated knowledge of
Configuration Management principles, processes, practices, and standards
.
Experience reviewing and managing engineering documentation and technical change records.
Understanding of engineering change processes, document revision control, and configuration traceability.
Strong technical, analytical, and organisational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and coordinate activities across different departments.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in
Microsoft Office
, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Project.
Ability to work with multiple software applications and web-based platforms.
Particularly Valued Experience
Experience using
PLM/PDM systems
, such as Autodesk Fusion Manage,



Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Systèmes ENOVIA, or similar platforms.
Certification in Autodesk Fusion 360 Manage.
Familiarity with
Autodesk Inventor CAD, NetSuite ERP, or Solumina MES
.
Experience with engineering data management and integration between PLM, ERP, and MES environments.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and 3D CAD models.
Experience with engineering change workflows, configuration baselines, and Change Control Boards.
Experience working in
aerospace, automotive, defence, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or other highly regulated engineering environments
.
Previous experience in dynamic, fast-growing technology organisations.
Familiarity with custom or commercial systems integration tools.
